Palm Beach Infectious Disease Institute

The primary purpose of PBIDI is to engage in clinical research in related areas of the specialty of internal medicine and the subspecialty of infectious diseases, with emphasis upon the needs of Palm Beach County and Southern Florida. The institute researches infectious diseases and the resulting illnesses, and educates the broader community in order to impact prevention. A primary focus for PBIDI is research in the area of the causes and ramifications of antibiotic resistance.
